Despite the energy and creativity of the alternative poster scene, much of this work exists in isolation—circulating online but rarely exhibited, published, or integrated into industry workflows. These posters often remain personal exercises, passion projects, or niche commissions, disconnected from the broader cultural and commercial platforms that shape how films are presented to the public.
This gap reflects a lack of infrastructure: no formal channels connect these designers to film institutions, distributors, or festivals. There are few spaces for critical recognition, collective presentation, or sustainable collaboration between filmmakers and poster designers. As a result, the creative potential of this visual culture remains underleveraged—both for the film industry and for the designers themselves.
